Informational purpose only

Houseplantdex is a reference database compiled from public taxonomic and toxicity sources and cross-checked botanical references (see our methodology). It is provided for general information.

Plant-care and toxicity disclaimer

This is not professional, medical, or veterinary advice. Plant care varies with your specific conditions, and plant toxicity information is never complete. In particular:

• A “pet-safe” / non-toxic label reflects what an authority (e.g. ASPCA) lists — it is not a guarantee of safety. Individual animals and people can react differently, and any plant matter can cause problems if eaten.
• An “unverified” label means we found no authoritative classification — it means unknown, not safe. We never infer toxicity from related species.
• Do not rely solely on this site for decisions affecting the health of a person, child, or animal.
